| Description: | Responsible for leading the OEM sales effort in the prescribed accounts including identifying, developing, and strengthening customer relationships for both current and new business opportunities in OEM accounts for the IDEX HST companies (9). Develops and executes on key sales objectives to achieve plan targets and stretch goals. |
| Duties: | Manage and grow target accounts and markets in specified region(s). Manage new projects from conception to production, which can involve multi-year project management. Interface directly with individual HST company resources as needed to meet customers and Business Unit goals and objectives. Regularly interface with the HST company representatives as follows: Development teams, technical staffs, and marketing resources to identify new product and market opportunities. Manufacturing / procurement / quality assurance teams to establish and manage quality and On-Time Delivery (OTD) metrics to meet customer expectations. Extensive travel to existing customers', prospective customers', trade shows, and IDEX HST company locations. It is estimated that a minimum of 60% travel will be required. Promote and establish IDEX HST as a key strategic design and supply chain partner in the design and manufacture of critical technology to identified customer projects/products. Analyze industry and customer account trends. Prepare and present sales reports on territory/account progress toward goals for each HST company opportunity. Create and execute successful action plans to achieve assigned business objectives. Assist HST Marketing in the development of Strategic Marketing Plans. Identify and promote product training and promotion/awareness seminars to assigned key OEM accounts to provide additional value to the customer. | Qualifications: | Qualifications: Experience Required: 5+ years of progressive experience and responsibility in sales, marketing and /or product management. Preferred experience within the analytical instrument or the IVD/BioTech instruments/systems market segment. Excellent customer relations skills and proven results in an OEM selling atmosphere. Increasing sales, multi-level negotiation techniques and selling critical enabling components and/or sub-systems solutions in a complex selling environment must be demonstrated. Experience selling in a matrix organization with multiple business units is a major benefit. Knowledge: BS/BA required, preferably in Engineering or Physical/Life Sciences. Understand the fundamentals of the design, function, and application of analytical instruments and the use of fluid handling technology therein preferred Knowledge of separation and analysis techniques such as Liquid Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry, Laboratory Automated Liquid Handling Systems would be very useful.
